Raven & Kanyon vs The Villanos
Flashback of the Week
[3/6/03]

Great music for Raven ... no intro for the Villanos. However, we are told that they are numbers four and five. The announcers, however, can really care less about the Villanos.

Raven sits in the corner, talking about loyalty and how The Flock left him. He then predicts "someone will pay" and attacks the Villanos. An ironic comment...

20 seconds later, Raven tags in Kanyon, who sets up Villano #4 for a powerbomb. Raven grabs his neck for a powerbomb into a neckbreaker. Funny how the announcers can't tell the Villanos apart.

Raven falls first, then Kanyon. The Villano comes crashing down on his neck and literally folds in half. The crowd gasps and the announcers get flustered.

In a rare break in character, Raven huddles above Villano 4, holding his head and talking to him. Kanyon stands above, looking concered. The ref (Nick Patrick) gets down as if to make a count then gets up, calls for the bell and waves to the back.

Raven still cowers over the injured Villano. Villano #5 runs in, kicks Raven then goes after Kanyon. They brawl until Kanyon sends him to the outside. Raven is still holding Villano's head when the announcers make reference to Raven being a "prophet" in predicting that someone "would pay."

The announcers fumble to make Raven's obvious concern for the Villano appear evil. Zbyszko wonders what evil Raven is "telling him."

Raven and Kanyon finally leave minutes after the WCW officials hit the ring.

The announcers still don't know which Villano is injured.

In a weird turn by WCW--a company that would do it's best to avoid showing blood or injuries--the replay of the botched move is then shown from four different angles. The crowd gasps everytime the Villano hits the mat.

The camera cuts to the flustered announcers. Clapping is heard then we see the Villano walking away from the ring.

This was turned--albeit briefly--into an angle with Villano #5 seeking vengeance against Raven.

It was the only time any Villano was used in a WCW angle.
