From August 2001 ... the ill-fated "Invasion" angle was in full-force ...
They certainly gave-up trying to find a good angle for Saturn ... and this is a prime example.
Someone stole Moppy, Saturn's friend who happened to be a mop with a face taped to it. The WWF even--briefly--produced a shirt for Saturn ... or was it a shirt for Moppy? Regardless, unless you count Saturn's shoot on Mike Bell, this is probably his most memorable WWF angle.
William Regal is talking with Tajiri "in his office." Regal claims he's a "bloody imbecile" and that he'll never know the difference ... suddenly, we hear a monotone Saturn calling for "Moppy!"
Saturn enters and Regal acknowledges that Saturn has been through much "heartache" ... but not to despair because "guess who I found..." Regal pulls out "Moppy" and states, "she's looking radiant."
Saturn takes the mop but catches onto the trick ... "This isn't Moppy! It's an ordinary household mop and someone painted a face on it." With that, Saturn hits Regal with the fake Moppy and the top falls off. He then strikes Tajiri (rather hard) with the mop's handle ... then he repeatedly strikes Regal's suit of armour as Tajiri can be heard whimpering in the background.
He drops the fake Moppy, falls to his knees and screams (in monotone) "Moppy! Moppy!" Exit Saturn. Regal and Tajiri recover ... Regal throws the mop in Tajiri's face for suggesting such an idea.
A great segment for Regal and Tajiri ... they could even make a Moppy segment funny.
