Drop Kickin' It Old School Review

RAW Satellite feed ... it's jumpy and shaky with bad audio ... but back-in-the-day, it was selling for $50 a copy on eBay.

--LOD vs. The Quebecers ... boring match. Halfway through, The New Age Outlaws come out with a dumpster, attack the LOD and toss Hawk in the dumpster. Animal eventually chases them off with a chair and the LOD gets counted-out.

--The announcers (Kevin Kelly, Michael Cole and Jim Ross) are about to cut a promo and we hear them discussing what will take place. JR prompts Cole on what to say but when they do the promo, Cole messes up. JR reprimands Cole and Cole apologizes. They re-do the promo ... JR gets a message from the back and blurts, "God Dammit!" They start over again ... this time, perfectly. Cole again apologized and JR says that it's OK ... that they are there to "tell stories."

--Ken Shamrock vs. Sniper ... another boring match. Shamrock wins. No one cares.

--Jerry Lawler is in the ring for an interview ... basically mocking the crowd during a commercial break. Fade away ... Lawler interviews Marc Mero and Sable.

--The camera is on the Titan Tron for commercial and JR mentions that the dark match is Steve Austin & The LOD vs. The Rock & The NAO.

--Jim Cornette does his "NWA Tradition" promo ... the announcers are out of character ... then The Rock and Roll Express (with The Rockers old theme) face The Headbangers for the NWA tag titles. Another boring match. The only thing entertaining is that Ross does his Gordon Solie voice, making fun of Cornette's weight. Ross mentions some of the spots in the match took place in a match between the R&R and the Midnight Express years earlier. A long, boring match that ends in an over-the-top-rope DQ (per NWA rules).

--The infamous Nation of Domination promo where The Rock gives presents to the Nation. Steve Blackman vs. Faarooq ... Blackman gets the pin via a roll-up after being distracted by The Rock ... announcers still out of character.

--Ross interviews Stone Cold.

--Jeff Jarrett (w/the NWA) vs. Owen Hart for the Euro title. Best match of the show. Ross cals Owen, "a young babyface." Basically, Ross and Lawler throw out as many wrestling cliches as they possibly can. Plus, more commentary by "Solie." Owen wins by DQ when Corny runs in ... more fat jokes.

--JR introduces Michael Hayes who comes out to his old "Badstreet" theme. He gets a lukewarm Dallas, TX reception. Kane comes out and tombstones Hayes.

--Sunny introduces the cruiserweight tag match ... Sunny looks absolutely fabulous ... Brian Christopher and (inaudible) vs. Taka and (inaudible) ... JR yells at Christopher about losing his wedding ring and driver's license in a strip club. Lawler laughs, stating that Brian came up with a good story. After the match, Sunny walks up the rampway and unzips her pants, mooning thr crowd. Lawler and JR seem shocked. "I think she mooned us," says JR. Lalwer remarks that he saw her little "Superman." JR asks if it should really be a little "Supergirl." Lalwer reminds Ross that they are on live feed and JR says that he knows they are "feeding the world."

--Goldust (w/Luna) & Mero (w/Sable) vs. Cactus Jack & Chainsaw Charlie ... announcers back in character ... Cactus hits Goldust with a chair and Funk gets the pin. Afterwards, Luna and Sable brawl and Sable "pops out" of her top for a great deal of time...

--After the break ... we see Austin come down (for the dark match?) ... end transmission.
